Ceramic Ornament Workshop (12/2/23)

Join us at the workshop to create your own ceramic ornaments! Students will roll out flat slabs of clay and cut out shapes to decorate with colored underglazes. Students may choose to stamp, carve, inscribe, or simply paint on their ornaments. Cookie cutters will be provided for easy shape cut outs, but the sky is the limit! You can cut out any shape you can think of to decorate your tree or home. Metal jump rings will be provided to attach to your ornaments or students may choose to cut a hole near the top of their ornaments instead. Ribbon will be provided at pick up. Please allow several weeks for firing, we will do our absolute best to have your ornaments ready in time for the week of Christmas! Students will receive an email notification when their work is ready for pick up.

Techniques taught in this Workshop are slab rolling and sgraffito (carving through a top layer of contrasting colored slip or underglaze.)

All materials and equipment supplied.

Ages: 5+

For children below 10 years of age: We ask that an adult accompany them or take the class with the child(ren).

Dress weather appropriate! The studios are not climate controlled. Studio clothes recommended, things can get messy!
