Weaving Workshop

During this course, we will demonstrate weaving using easily crafted and economical materials—such as working with a portable loom. Students will be introduced to the beginner basics of weaving, including but not limited to learning fundamental terminology in weaving, how to dress a loom, select weft thread/yarn, and practice simple weaving patterns while also exploring craft processes in a playful and relaxing manner.

All materials included

Material List:

• 6”x6” and 12”x12” portable looms

• Warp thread (non-stretch cotton thread)

• Weft thread/yarn

• Weaving/yarn needles

• Weaving combs*

• Warp cards

• Shuttles*

• Scissors

Ages: 5+

Children aged 15 and under must have accompanying adult.

Dress weather appropriate! The studios are not climate controlled.
