Summary
1-Day Ceramics Workshop using the pinching technique
Description
A seasonal single session class • Perfect for beginners! This is a two hour session led by Ceramic Studio Specialist, Jackie Bahnsen.
In this workshop students will create two hollow pumpkin forms using the pinching technique and closing them up. After smoothing them out, we will then use wood modeling tools to create the pumpkin ridges, attach the stems, poke air holes in the bottoms, and add details. The remainder of the time will be spent coloring our pumpkins using underglaze with the option of carving a Jack-O-Lantern face!
After the workshop student work will then go through the firing process and a clear glaze will be applied. Please allow at least a few weeks for the firing process to take place. Students will receive an email when pieces are ready for pick up.
All materials and equipment supplied.
