Ceramic Pinch Pots for Beginners (10/9/24)

Great single session class for beginners! Make and learn all about pinch pots in this two hour session led by Ceramic Studio Specialist, Jackie Bahnsen. Students will hand build two clay pinch pots starting with a sphere and then pinching to create the forms. Stamps and textures will be available for experimentation. 

This class goes over the fundamentals of ceramics and utilizes underglaze to achieve the form and color of our creations in one session. Students will apply color to their pieces and an optional carving technique referred to as Sgraffito will be demonstrated. Pots will then go through the firing process after class and a clear glaze will be applied by the instructor. Return in a few weeks to take home your fired creations! Students will receive an email when pieces are ready for pick up. 

All materials and equipment supplied. 

Ages: 5+

Children aged 15 and under must have accompanying adult.

Dress weather appropriate! The studios are not climate controlled. Studio clothes recommended, things can get messy! 

Face Masks are optional
